Gloucestershire Country House
The house had been added to over the years, resulting in an awkward layout, narrow corridors, a small kitchen which was more like a passageway, and low ceilings. Furthermore, most of the original features had been removed. The project involved getting the bones of the country house right, by adding back “original” features such as beams, fireplaces, etc., in keeping with the property. Also creating a large family kitchen and forming a layout which naturally flowed. A functional home with modern comforts, but with a quality which appears to have evolved over time.
